RSS allows you to see when websites have added new content without having to visit the website.

We have one RSS feed available that includes all blogs and also Mike's e-zine:

That's great, but how do I use it?

You will need a news reader.

This is a piece of software that checks RSS feeds automatically.

There are many different types of news reader available, some work in Outlook, and some you access via your web browser.

Whatever version you get they all have one thing in common - they can subscribe to many RSS feeds. So each time one of your favourite sites is updated, your news reader will tell you!

There are a range of different news readers available and some are even free.

Choose the one that you think will be best for you.

What do I do once I have a news reader?

Once you have chosen your news reader, you will need to add the Beermat RSS feed to it.

Your news reader should have instructions on how to do this.
