Andrew has also developed a "smart method" of protecting everybodies IP so everyone is happy except the lawyers.rnrnIn recent years Andrew has focused his energy on the Music business regardless of the fact that he does not play an instrument and in 2001 Andrew purchased Carlsbro Electronics Ltd one of the countries leading PA and music amplification companies established in 1959, manufacturing in Nottinghamshire exporting to 83 countries around the world.rnrnParticularly active lobbying Government on issues such as the Public Entertainment Law (PEL) reforms, Andrew represented the voice of the industry from his position as Director, and Chairman of the Education Committee of the MIA (Music Industries Association). Andrew is also the immediate past Vice-Chairman and Director of PLASA (Professional, Light and Sound Association) and PLASA media.rnrnAndrew sits on the Live Music Group (a subsidiary of the Music Business Forum) which feeds information on the Music business and music industry to the Live Music Forum headed by Feargal Sharkey, and maintains a dialogue with British Government departments such as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) The Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and The Arts Council to ensure that the music manufacturing industry in the UK works as a team with British Government in making music matter.rnrnAndrew was also the founder and Chairman of “The Musicians Channel” (M-Channel)a new concept in Music Television which was launched on Sky Digital (channel number 475) on 24th May 2004. This television channel is available to 400 million people in Europe. This business was sold to a media specialist in 2005.rnrnAndrew has held a number of non-executive Director positions, most recently as a board Director of Dawsons Music the largest general Musical Instrument and amplification retailer in the UK.rnrnHaving made his first sale at the age of 10 and with no university education Andrew has made his way without paper qualifications.
